AYou already are. The rate on Stafford loans for borrowers that are still in school dropped to 2.77 percent on July 1 and will stay there through June 30, 2005. Students with unsubsidized Stafford loans will pay less interest in the 2004-2005 school year and owe less money upon graduation. Students with subsidized Stafford loans do not pay interest on loans while they're in school.
