• HOMEOWNER’S ASSOCIATION
  
  An association of people who own homes in a given area, usually formed by the builder, for the purpose of maintaining or improving the quality of the area. Required by statute in some states for Condominiums, Townhouses and Planned Unit Developments and the builder’s as well as the duties of the association are controlled by statute.
