  A type of divestiture and different to spin off. It resembles the IPO of some portion of equity stock of a wholly owned subsidiary by the parent company. Some of the subsidiary’s shares are offered for sale to general public for increasing cash inflow without losing control. This is also called a "split off IPO" (Initial Public Offering).
