- NOMINATION
1) The process whereby the holder of a long Exchange petroleum product futures position who has elected to stand for delivery tells the seller (the short) where the product is to be delivered and the method of transport. 2) A shipper’s offer to move gas on a pipeline during a given period. Most nominations are made on a daily basis, although mid-day hourly nominations are possible on some systems. 3) A request for a physical quantity of gas under a specific purchase, sales or transportation agreement or for all contracts at a specific point.Back
