• NOMINEE RECIPIENT
  
  A shareholder whose tax ID number appears on a Form 1099-DIV or 1099-INT when the form includes amounts belonging to other persons. A nominee recipient must file Form 1096 with the IRS alerting the agency to the amount attributable to other account owners. You also must furnish the additional owners the appropriate 1099 forms noting their taxable portion.
