- TREASURY BOND
Treasury bonds are long-term government debt securities with a maturity date of 10 to 30 years. They are issued in denominations of $1,000, though investors can buy any number of bonds they wish, to a maximum of $1 million per issue. While Treasury bonds are federally taxable, they are exempt from state and local taxes. Treasury bonds are considered among the most secure investment in the world, since they are backed by the federal government.Back
