• UNIT TRAIN
  
  A train, usually with several locomotives, devoted to the transportation of a sole commodity. Unit trains consisting of 100 hopper cars of coal hold the rough equivalent of seven jumbo barge loads, which in turn equals seven Exchange coal futures contracts.
