• WILSHIRE 5000 TOTAL MARKET INDEX
  
  A market index that includes all companies headquartered in the United States with a readily available stock price. In general, the Wilshire 5000 includes all U.S.-based companies traded on the New York Stock Exchange, American Stock Exchange, and Nasdaq stock market. There are now more than 7,000 companies in the index, which is weighted according to company capitalization. The index is considered a measure of the entire U.S. stock market.
